While I think it is less likely that you will experience the same issues on Medium, there are a lot of valid points.

I’ve faced a similar issue when wanting to update articles on major sites (Forbes, Inc, etc.)especially for clients.

They simply have no simple dashboard for writers to edit.

Otherwise I tend to only post articles to third party sites that I (begrudgingly) accept may be uneditable someday.
