To clarify — are you trying to direct SEO/traffic from your own blog post to your Medium post?

If you are simply reposting Medium content on your own blog, there will not likely be an issue as Medium’s DA is greater than (almost) any third party blog.

If you are posting first on Medium and then reposting on your blog, but are trying to establish your blog post as the “authority post” then the process still works the same way. Although, it’s worth noting, that if you have a Medium post that ranks highly in Google, and you designate the same post (on your blog) as the authroity post, Google may recognize the new tag, feature the link from your blog instead of the Medium link, and your post could drop in the search results. This has happened in my own personal experimentation.
