Appreciate the honest insights! As a fellow Medium writer and subscription newsletter writer, I can confirm that doing both (on top of other projects) is very challenging.
I think you made the right call based on the response vs. your large email list.
Only thing I’d keep in mind is, focus on the value that you have created that led to 27,000+ subscribers! That’s awesome 😎
Also, there are many ways to monetize your newsletter besides direct subscriptions:
